Support and Training

As part of the Regional Action Plan it was agreed that Government Office for the East of England would host training events throughout the year to support practitioners working to tackle Anti-social Behaviour (ASB).

This started in July 2004 with an induction day, and a Regional Forum for ASB Co-ordinators.

The themes of the training days vary and have been directed by the needs of the ASB co-ordinators with whom we have consulted.

Forthcoming events and training sessions:

We are developing a Certificate in the Management of Anti-social Behaviour with Anglia Polytechnic University. This course will be aimed at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels and will part time for one year. It is due to commence in October 2005 and will go along way to recognise the specialist nature of this field of work.
