Objective 2 Local Area Groups and Frameworks

The East of England Objective 2 Programme Area is not a single territorial unit but is made up of seven separate sub-regional areas. Each of these programme areas has a Local Area Group, made up of representatives drawn from key local organisations, which is responsible for producing an integrated delivery plan, known as Local Area Framework (LAF) for their area. The LAFs, which are reviewed annually, facilitate a strategic approach to the use of Objective 2 funding.

Objective 2 Programme Areas
The areas eligible for Objective 2 funding are:

  • Core areas
Breckland, Luton, North Norfolk Coast, Southend, Waveney & Great Yarmouth.
  • Transitional areas –
Central Rural Norfolk, Fenland, Rural East Suffolk.

Maps of the eligible areas, showing the wards covered can be viewed using the links below.
