East of England LSPs

Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) in the East of England are based largely on county, district and unitary boundaries. There is a Network for all LSP members in the region including quarterly events for LSPs to share experiences and develop skills and understanding. Links to LSP websites and the Regional LSP Network are provided at the bottom of the page.

Bedfordshire

There are three LSPs representing the areas covered by the the 3 unitary councils - Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton.

Cambridgeshire

There are five district based LSPs in Cambridgeshire. These are supported by the County Council although there is no County based LSP.

Essex

Essex has a County-wide LSP, the Essex Partnership, and 12 district LSPs that work at a local level aligned to District / Borough local authority administrative areas.

Hertfordshire

There are eleven LSPs in Hertfordshire: one is County based and ten are district based. The partners in ‘Hertfordshire Forward’ – the County LSP – work together to be the voice of Hertfordshire and support the district LSPs on the issues that can best be addressed at a local level.

Luton

The Luton Forum is the LSP for the unitary authority of Luton.

Norfolk

There are eight LSPs in Norfolk; these represent the areas covered by the county and district councils. The Norfolk County Strategic Partnership aims to develop, improve and sustain the social, economic and environmental well being of Norfolk. Area-specific issues are dealt with by the district LSPs.

Peterborough

The Greater Peterborough Partnership is the LSP for the unitary authority of Peterborough.

Southend-on-Sea

‘Southend Together’ is the LSP for the unitary authority for Southend-on-Sea.

Suffolk

There are seven LSPs in Suffolk: one County LSP and six local level LSPs. Unlike other areas in the region, two of these LSPs are not based on traditional administrative areas. These are ‘Western Suffolk’ (Forest Heath, St Edmundsbury and West Babergh) and ‘Babergh East’. The LSPs work together, largely through the countywide Suffolk Strategic Partnership.

Thurrock

‘Shaping Thurrock’ is the LSP for the unitary authority of Thurrock.
