An Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) is part of the Local Development Framework and will assess the implementation of the Local Development Scheme (LDS) and the extent to which policies in ‘saved’ local plans and in Local Development Documents (LDD) are being implemented. Local Authorities are also required to report on a range of ‘core output indicators’ which reflect the outcomes of their policies. These include, for example, the number of houses built, the amount of employment floorspace developed and how much renewable energy-generating capacity has been installed in new buildings.
The AMR must be based upon the period 1 April to 31 March and submitted to the Secretary of State no later than the end of the following December.
